So how do you spend your last moments with 2008?
I must say, that 2008 has been a rather eventful year for me. Many things took place, various events and people come and go. It was just like an adventurous journey for me.
Flashback of the major events which took place this year.
June: Got into the finals for Singapore Blog Awards.
July: Voting phase of the SBA. I think this was also the most exciting part of the competition. At one point of time, Samantha and I were like taking turns to be in the first position. XD
September.
This is the most important month to me in year 2008. Two major events. Singapore Blog Awards ceremony and Christine's wedding.
The award ceremony for SBA was not just a big thing to me. It was also a special day to remember as I was crowned the Best Youth Blogger.

October: Start of O' Levels. Also very important to me. My future will largely depend on my efforts spent on this exam.
November: End of the national exam! Following was Senior Prom, which everyone came dressed so differently from usual.
December: Majolica Majorca party! Alright, this is not exactly a major event but the brand just came to our shores not long ago and almost every girl in town is raving about it. Samantha and I will die to go for this party! (Taking the freebies into consideration as well. Haha.)

It's back in my hands again.
After parting with my Vaio baby for one week, I finally got it back today. Actually I went to the service centre to get it back yesterday, but the technician had yet to deliver it there. So it was quite a wasted trip.
After retrieving my notebook, Ling Ling and I went for lunch-dinner. It was also breakfast for him, haha. Thanks for the treat, Ling Ling. :) You always spend so much money on me.
And I am anticipating 2009's arrival, in less than 2 days time! I always believe that tomorrow will be better. :D

My first hat got blown away by the wind...
Subsequently, five hats got blown away as well in just SIX minutes. You won't understand what I am talking about unless you were at the scene to witness. Yea.
I went to my agency for a short meet-up with the manager today. I had a little problem locating the place as it was at some hidden corner of an ulu street. Another girl was there as well, with the same time slot as me. So we were brought around the small but well-equipped office. Mind you, the studio looked very impressive even though it was a small place. Then the manager talked to us about many things. It was supposed to be a question-answer session but he digressed and told us about some true and shocking incidents. At least now we know how the industry functions and what we have to expect.
After the interview, I met up with Ling Ling. We did not know what to do so we strolled along Singapore River, trying to spot for crocodiles. -.- The Bungy ride looks tempting but I'm afraid of it at the same time. I think I might die of over-excitement. LOL.
Later we decided to head for Bukit Timah since we had no business at Clarke Quay. Had a quick lunch before meeting Esther to go to church. The last time I attended church service was a zillion fncking years ago at New Creation, when I hardly even know what is God.
Ling Ling and I still prefer the conventional kind of preaching, without all the rock-band-concert-like stuff. It's either we have not gotten use to the noise, or we seriously prefer peace and serenity. :) However, the testimonies made were quite meaningful and it made me think about my own life.
After the service, Ling Ling and I went for dinner opposite Beauty World. I took such a long time before deciding that we should have pratas for dinner. I ordered orange juice and Ling Ling told me that I should not order fruit juices outside because we never know if the oranges are fresh or not, and they might be using mouldy oranges to make the juices by just slicing off the affected parts. Made me laugh like, like, LIKE.... I DON'T KNOW WHAT'S THE APPROPRIATE WORD TO USE.
When I commented that Ling Ling ate a lot, he said that his portion was only enough for Wenhao to 'fill the gaps between his teeth'. OMG.
I realise that we practically spent the whole day with each other. ^^
And we promised to keep it to ourselves so I didn't talk about it here. I deserve a pat on the shoulder for being such a good girl.

IT'S TIME TO PARTY!!!
Samantha and I met at Dhoby Ghaut station, from which we hailed a cab to the bar hidden at an unnoticeable corner at Selegie Road. Thankfully my eyes were sharp enough to spot the small signboard on the building, as the cabbie was not familiar with the area as well.
Here we come!
There was this Majolica Majorca signboard at the entrance....

This is a really cool bar. Its walls are decorated with graffiti and murals.
The model of Majolica Majorca awaits us right at the registration area! Oh my, she's goddess!

We were among the first ones to reach there, so it seemed quite empty at first. Haha.
Camwhoring can take place anywhere!
Our drinks. It's alcoholic stuff but I think it tasted not bad. You only get the heaty sensation when the drink is halfway down your oesophagus to your stomach.
And Samantha lost her virginity to alcohol! It was not my first time though. X)
The lady behind me looks very buay song. LOL.
We gave up the drink later anyway, since Samantha doesn't like it and I find it pointless to drink without a partner. It's good that they also have non-alcoholic beverages, even tea and coffee!
The mini stage, where demonstrations were performed.
Since most of the guests had not arrived, we were invited to the makeover station. Looks like the advantage of being an early bird is that you get to have your makeover before others! ^^ Personally I feel that it will be better this way as there was not many people around, the make-up artistes will not have to rush... Which of course produce better results? Haha.
Everything Majo laid out properly on the table, to be used to transform every guest into a Majogirl!

Doesn't she melt your eyes? She immediately became my new eye candy! She's also quite nice to even take a picture of me after my makeover. What a sweetie~~
Following our makeover, Samantha and I proceeded to the washroom and did something that you would have expected.
My make-up artiste created the Gorgeous version for me from Chapter 21, I Am Gorgeous. The alternative version is the Chic look.
Samantha looks exceptionally good here!
We are seriously hardcore camwhores and only went back to the bar when the programme was about to start!

I think that the story of Majolica Majorca was well illustrated and brought across to the guests with the magic tricks. Now I know why there is a bird in Majo's logo.
I can never get enough of her... Simply gorgeous.
Majolumina and Honey Pump Gloss. My sweetie pie MUA used the honey gloss on me and it is really rich in flavour. Like what others say, the Honey Pump Gloss is as sweet as it sounds.
And we had our very first Tarot readings!
Samantha having her reading. Each of the guest was entitled to ask a question for the reading. But I'm not going to reveal what I asked about! All that I'm going to say is that one of the cards I picked was a Yoga card. And the advice I got was to 'Detach from Drama'.
But I still don't find my life dramatic enough. LOL.
We wanted to get caricatures of ourselves done, but gave up on the queue as it seemed to take forever to move.
The food served was not bad. Samantha didn't want to eat at first due to the rubber stoppers fixed in her cavity. But she could not resist the temptations of the drumlets in the end! X)
Colourful drinks brighten up my day. I wonder if I would get tipsy if I finished the whole glass of that, haha.
Our special gifts! Each bag is worth more than SGD 50.
There was also a photographer to take pictures for the guests and print out the photos on the spot!

HUIRONG SIS!!! Omg I can't even hold a candle beside her. She arrived rather late and before that, Samantha mistook Kanny (the girl who acted as June in Nanny Daddy) for her. Kanny is also another petite beauty.
I finally got to see Huirong in person, after knowing her for 3 years. She's a nice girl who also shared camwhoring tips with us. XD We were quite lucky to have taken a picture with her just before leaving. Really hope to meet her again.
We love Majolica Majorca so much that we had to pose with the signboard again before we left.

You can see that the lashes have been extended such that they somehow resemble falsies, thanks to Majo's mascara that does wonders.
Latest Majolook (Luminoustic) applied on eyes. Does not look obvious here as the MUA only did a light coating.

I've tried the Lash Gorgeous Wing and it works well! It really provides a feathery texture to the lashes, which are further enhanced by the golden brown to give the most natural look. I used to think that only black mascaras will look natural but this golden brown mascara proved me wrong. It blends in even better than black ones with your own lashes!
Now I am thinking of getting one more Lash Gorgeous Wing. It's really really good and I hope to stock up on these goody babies! ^^
Lastly, thanks to Cleo for the invitation to the Majolica Majorca party. Haha there was a purpose in getting the magazine!
