    Sitex 2008

Actually only about 5% of the content in this entry is related to the title. Mum and I accompanied Chris to the Sitex show as he has been talking about it long before it started.

    I went along as well....
With a greater interest to spot my eye-candies. XD

And I really did okay! I saw Winnie at the Lenovo booth, with 2 other girls. One of them is Huiyi if I'm not wrong. I didn't really get to see their faces as the people at the exhibition (mostly uncles and young guys) were jostling amongst the crowd and it was not possible for me to stop and ogle at them. LOL. Still, Winnie is recognisable from the back due to her trademark ponytail. :)

Before I got the chance to look out for Xuesha and Naomi, I was already out of the exhibition hall as my mum was getting bored. She bought a mouse though, for her games. Haha. Samantha, get jealous when you see this. IT'S A PINK MOUSE! ^^

Then we went to the other exhibition halls in search of 'more interesting events'. John Little is having its Mega Expo Sale so we joined in the fun of getting good bargains. It was a fruitful trip as I managed to get a few items which I really like.

May I present to you, my loots for the day.

Shoes, with lacy patterns. I was looking at the shoes on display but only this caught my eye. And I even got a size larger as there was no stock for my size. This is the bad thing about sales - you may not be able to find the right size.

I think I will have to wear it with shoe paddings as it feels a little loose.

Got 2 dresses as well. Just fall in love with them when I saw them from afar.

Also got a new set of swimwear. Haha I'm planning to get more from a fabulous website that I sourced. They have a great range of designs for their swimsuits. And the price is pretty reasonable.

I'm very happy because my loots are very cheap. Real dirt cheap. And we spent a few hours just on the ladies apparel department. X)

And after walking for long hours, my feet are very tired now! ^^

    ROD 2008

Almost half a year after Guides PLC 2007-08 stepped down, we finally had our ROD party!
*flungs a whole lot of confetti into air*

    IT'S PARTAYYYYYY TIME!!!

    All ready to have fun.

The Guides arranged to meet at 10.45am at Bukit Gombak. And I was the first Sec 4 to arrive, which was very rare of me! Haha.

We had a few rounds of games, silly but it was fun, before having lunch. Following was cake-cutting session.

My lovely Sec 3 Guides setting up the cake with candles. It was also Brina's birthday! But she wasn't there.

    Happy Birthday, Brina!

Aixin dialling Brina so that all of us could sing her a birthday song. Unfortunately she didn't manage to contact her.

My piece of cake. Haha who said that you can't have your cake and eat it?
I didn't finish my cake though, it was too big and there were lots of cream too. I love fresh cream. ^^

Eunice, my ex-Oriole PS. Currently PL of Orchid I think.

Ah Chio Aixin! PL of Oriole now!

We also played musical chairs. And Mary won! Through a little bit of unscrupulous methods here and there haha. She was in front of me during the game and she moved so slowly so that she could assure herself a seat when the music stopped. She is just so cute. Where's your lamb, Mary? XD

Our 'prized possesions'. Goodie goodie bags.

Lovely message from the Guides. :)

There are more pictures and details about the party at the Guide's blog.
Thanks to all the Guides for making this celebration possible, your efforts are greatly appreciated. :)

    Send me my pictures!

Friends out there, do send me my pictures taken at Prom if you have any with you.
    Add me on MSN: felicia_romance@yahoo.com.sg

I was complaining to Ling Ling that I didn't take a picture with my eye-candy that night. It is a guy. Happy guessing! ^^

And I realise that I didn't include myself in the PLC photos. Which made the PLC photos looked pretty incomplete. Apologies to PLC members, I didn't manage to locate all of you that night.

    Pomp for Prom

I have yet to finish ranting about prom! WAHAHA. I decide to feed my dear readers bit by bit. XD

    First of everything.

Prom is DEFINITELY a good thing for bloggers like me. Due to the existence of inquisitive and curious people (in Singaporean layman terms, it's simply kay-pohs.), a sharp increase in readership right after Prom Night is inevitable. People are curious about whoever was crowned the Prom King and Queen for 2008 and they keyed in words like 'bpghs prom queen/king', 'bpghs prom 2008', 'bpghs prom night 2008', 'bpghs prom queen 2008' etc. at various search engine sites.

And TADA! They got referred to hiroyuki-world.blogspot.com among the list of many other BPian blogs. This phenomenon has caused my readership to increase by nearly 3 times. And I'm glad that it still remained at about the same level even though it's been a week after prom. I was expecting the sudden sky-high traffic to roll downhill after, let's say, 2 to 3 days. Keep coming, people. I love the BIG numbers. :)

I have gotten some pictures taken by friends' cameras. Let me hear you cheer.

Hweetian in my kiddyland room. I guessed it's taken after I 'tainted' her face.

At the bus interchange, waiting for Gerald.

Still busy with nail decoration when waiting for the bus. Haha!

With Weien, more fondly known as KWE or Super-K.

    Vivien!

    Joyce, owner of Pooh-er.

And I think that I pretty much looked like an elf with my ear sticking out of my hair.
Alright alright. I admit that I am actually a fairy. ^^

    ROWENA!

I remember that I also took pictures with Jessica, Jingyan, Keyi... and I forgot who else. I want my pictures!

    With the M1 girls.

We were like celebrities posing for the paparazi at some Gala Premiere. Cool yea.

This is taken with Siyun's camera. Now you see the bride again. =D

And the following pictures are taken using Chubin's camera.

Wow! Did my eyesight fail me or do I really have a dimple on my left cheek?

    Hweetian was not ready here.

And I think we were laughing at what happened in the previous picture. LOL.

Overall, this year's prom wasn't exactly fantastic. The food, which was worth a wholly 50 bucks, was only of average standard. Maybe even lower than average for the fussy eaters. But I like the prawns though. Eleanor took a whole lot of them. Haha.

According to seniors who have graduated in recent years, the Prom King and Queen finalists were required to put up a catwalk, dance and there was also an interview. But there wasn't any of these for this year's prom at all. All the finalists did was to stand on the stage like statues as the emcees introduced them. Following was straight to voting. NO FUN AT ALL.

Then there was only one pathetic game that night, which was the student-teacher dance. I think the only enjoyable thing was mingling around and taking loads of photos, even with people whom you rarely interact with.

Enough with complaints. You should have seen that in many blogs.

I really love my dressing for Prom, from top to toe. I especially like my make-up for that night. Felt quite proud of myself as I took care of everything on my own. I decided my outlook for this special night and I went all out to accomplish it. I chose my evening dress. I did my own make-up. I did my own nails instead of going to the manicurist. The only exception was the straightening of my hair, for which I rewarded the hairdresser 12 bucks.

Now you see glimpses of my eye make-up. Credits to Hweetian for this picture. She commented that my lashes looked like those on the advertisements for Maybelline's mascaras. :D

This is my wallpaper, which is also my inspiration for my eye make-up. I used similar colours since I have yet to own any MM products. And I really love the results. ^^

I HAVE A CONFESSION TO MAKE!

I very much wanted to the Prom Queen for that night!

Yes, I am that thick-skinned. But it's because I am confident! I guess I'm the only girl to admit publicly about this but I'm sure most of the girls out there WISHED to be the Prom Queen as well. A pity that we were late that night, and I totally lost any chance for nomination. What a price to pay for being the Late Queen.

According to a reliable source, a certain JY and JK wanted to 'slay' the Sec 3 Exco members as they weren't nominated as the Prom King finalists. Yea it was quite a public thing about their desire to gain the Prom King title. So I think there's nothing to hide since Prom was long over anyway.

However boring our Senior Prom may be, it was still a night worth reminiscing as we embark on our journey after our secondary school years. As we look back years later, may this night be able to bring back wonderful memories.

    Monday, November 24, 2008

I know I have been slow with my updates recently. That's because I was distracted by the other wonders of the Internet, mainly Pet's Society and Make a Baby on Facebook. Thanks to Hweetian for inviting me to Pet's Society, and I got hooked on it.

And I had a new baby boy yesterday. Ling Ling and I named him G.C. Beckham. This was quite random.

So, after more than a week of consideration, I finally sent the application form back to eZen and they have replied too. Hope to get an assignment soon. I bet it's going to be exciting. =)

    I will be back tomorrow.

    Sing to our hearts' content.

Chubin and I decided to go for a singing session since we have nothing to do on this fine and sunny Saturday morning. We took the K-lunch package at Orchard Cineleisure as she wanted to have lunch.

Our lemon fish lunch set which looks really yummy. I was expecting some kind of lousy food for the cheap package, haha. Have not been to Kbox for ages and didn't really have much impression of their food. The previous time I went there with Christine for the dinner buffet, I didn't eat much as I was so engrossed with singing. But I still remember the cranberry drink. :)

Chub took this unglamourous candid shot of me.

Our session lasted for 3 hours, short but fun. It's great to find a singing partner who has similar taste as you. And it's best to go to KTV in twos so that you don't have to share or fight for the microphones. We even sang solo when either of us is unfamiliar with the song! Yea I'm selfish because I don't like sharing the mike with people. I like to perform. Alone. XD

And I don't look good in today's photos since I only had eight hours of sleep. Yea it's not enough for me. I need to have at least 10 hours of sleep. Otherwise I end up having smaller eyes, but thankfully not yet slit eyes.

I went to Dodo Club to look around after Chub bought her drink, which she discarded soon after as she said it was tasteless. Hahaha. Okay, I find that the things sold at Dodo Club aren't exactly fantastic. I'm not sure if they did not restock their falsies or what. The only kind of falsies I could find there were those coloured in blue with glittery stuff on them. And there were truckloads of them. That's the ONLY KIND I saw and nothing else. Then I feel that the mirrors are kind of over-priced.

After leaving Cineleisure, we headed down to Bugis since Chubin said that she wanted to go to Bugis Village.

I don't really like Bugis Village now as it is dominated by the Lians & Bengs. Furthermore, it is warm, stuffy and smoky. Now I can't understand why I liked going to Bugis Village so much two years back. -.- No doubt the things sold are very low-priced, but the quality of the material is obviously not so good. I will rather spend more on a piece of clothing which I feel comfortable in than on cheap clothings which feel like vanguard sheet on the body.

Anyway, we could not stand the atmosphere for long and went to Bugis Junction. :)

Chub had her Taro smoothie while I had Mocha Tiramisu smoothie. At least the sweet, cooling beverages helped to pacify us a little, I guess.

And we went into the washroom just to... CAMWHORE. Yea.
WTF. My eyes were so small that I feel that I looked like a guy.

"Hello. I'm Chubin's boyfriend. I dressed up as a girl so that I can camwhore with her in the female washroom."

    LOLOL.

Oh, Hera just got a microchip implant today! I guess it's part of the procedure for the application of the dog license. And I'm trying to locate the microchip on her. ^^ Haha she can't bathe for the next two days.
