    Back for a little visit,

not forgetting to bring along some things to please your vision as well. =)

I got these lovable little babies a few days ago.

There was a booklet of vouchers and discount coupons from the NDP Funpack. I spotted an O2 Skin outlet voucher, which requires no minimum spending. It was valid till the end of this month. Moreover, 不用白不用. Instead of sending it straight to the recycling bag, why not use the value of that voucher in exchange for something useful?

Hence it was a firm decision that I must leave the outlet with at least SOMETHING in my hands. I spotted the skin moisturiser, which attracted me immediately due to its sweet scent. And it's on special offer! Very good timing indeed! But I gathered that the voucher could not be used for discounted items, so I went to pick another item...

From the picture, you would have known that my fetish for faux lashes has yet to cease. No elaboration required. X)

Okay. In total, I spent less than $10 with the voucher. The feeling of getting such good bargains is just..... OVER THE MOON!

The moisturiser really lives up to its name, Juicy, for it really hydrates the skin well. Bid farewell to dry skin! The scent of the cream also keeps you in the habit of applying it regularly. Haha. I'm literally Honey Girl now!

Ling Ling was also with me when I was shopping for these stuffs. Both of us agreed that the pair of very thick and dramatic falsies resembles a broom. The person who wears it can just sweep the floor with a 'blink of the eye'!
    *blink blink*

When Ross' parents came to Singapore, they brought some things from UK for us too.

    Bendicks Mint Collection.

They'd gotten these mint chocolates for us before, it's more than heavenly! Why doesn't Singapore have such atrociously delightful chocolates too, besides Godiva and a few other more established brands?

    Walkers Butter Cookies from Scotland.

A portrait of Lochness! I can never get over the beauty of this lake. Maybe I should consider going there for honeymoon in future. With the motive of trying to spot the Lochness monster as well. Ahaha.

I shall save the description of the cookies. If you try it, you will know what authentic Scottish butter cookies are like. Not like those kind that you get from supermarkets for $4-5 per box. You know what I mean luh.

There's even a signature at the back of the box.

A few days ago, when I was about to turn in, Chris the RETARD came into my room to get the dictionary. Well, there's nothing wrong with that. But he generated an incredible mess in my cabinet, which includes toppling a cup over that contains our pen ink-refills. (Refer to picture below.)

Get this: He didn't even bother to pick the things on the floor and just walked out with the dictionary!
Such an irresponsible brat. But it's okay... I have photo evidence to lodge a complaint against him to my parents. No way am I going to clean his shithole after he has pooped. -.-

The little missy in my house. She just looks haughty here!

Lastly, presenting to you the delicacy of the century.

The innovative creation of Sous Chef Josephine Ng & Ng Xin Yi.

Please do not ask me what this dish is. You've got to get the partners-in-crime to enlighten you. :)

    A Moon Coated With Honey...

My dearest sister, do enjoy your honeymoon and I believe you will reap wonderful and memorable experiences from your trip to Maldives.
I will be most glad if you bring back some souvenirs for me... Like white sand and the clear seawater from the beaches of Maldives! =D

I don't think you will be able to read this entry as you are most probably awaiting your flight now. But I still want to say that I love you, my one and only sister. Thank you for your card. :)

    BON VOYAGE!

Since the title is about moon, I shall relate back to Mid-Autumn festival, which was a week ago. It was a quiet one this year, I didn't go out to play with candles and sparklers like the previous years. And Mooncake Boy booked me for the next mid-autumn one year in advance. Like wow... SO EARLY. Actually I have nothing much to relate about luh... Just writing additional stuff to make this post seem longer.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------
And Mrs Leo just called back home, right after I typed the paragraph that is 'dedicated' to her! *very very elated that I am still smiling now* I know we have telepathy. She said she will put the sand and water into Ross' shoes and give to me. -.- Eeeee~~~ I want it in those kind of glass bottles, you know, like the... YA! Buddy Cola!

But I will still like whatever that you are giving me. Great minds think alike, great sisters share the same taste. X)

Alright, enjoy your moon coated with honey!

It's been more than a week since my previous update. Was busy with school, preparations for sis' wedding. And I was on MC these 2 days. Got the gastrointestinal infection from Christopher, who has been unwell since last week. On Monday evening, I started to feel nauseous. But I just dismissed it as some discomfort due to prolonged period of not eating. Later in the night, had mild diarrheoa and vomitted. Then the fever started yesterday morning, when I was getting ready to go to school. My mum told me to stay at home to rest since my fever was at 38.4 degrees and I was feeling very lethargic.

My mum got the infection as well and both of us went to the clinic later. I had no appetite and only ate a little porridge for lunch. In the afternoon, I vomitted again, mostly water, and the fever rose to an alarming 39 degrees. I was so scared that the fever would continue to rise and quickly down my medicine. I was shivering even under my blanket and my whole bed was very hot from my body temperature.

Then I slept all the way till evening, when my mum woke me up for light dinner. After that, we were watching some sitcom shows and I returned to my bed after Nanny Daddy. (Nicole is a very loveable baby!)

Still having mild fever now, but thankfully no more vomitting. I'm very afraid of getting dehydration. Hopefully I can return to school tomorrow. And thanks to Yunying and Hweetian for helping me take note of the homework. :)

p.s. Look out for updates on Ross' & Christine's wedding! Entry will be dated 14 Sep. ^^

Earn 2000 bucks by doing a piece of Social Studies work.

    Easy money hur? :D
I'm so happy! With $2000, I can buy so many things....

Okok... It was just a joke. My parents don't spoil me like this.
The above-mentioned $2000 is for other purposes.

Tung Lok Snowskin Mooncake. Liquor series.

The one that I ate was Cherry Brandy flavoured. The alcohol is inside this chocolate, in the heart of the mini mooncake. There is also a small slice of real chery infused in brandy! :)

News of the Singapore Blog Awards have been appearing on the papers these few days.

I had yet to read the report from The Straits Times, until just now.

    MY NAME WAS SPELT WRONGLY!

It should be Cheryl Thian, instead of Cheryl 'Thiam'.

In Chinese class today, 陈主任 asked me to talk about my blog to the class. I didn't know what to say so I just blabbered some things to pass time. Mr Tai also knew about it, I guess it's through yesterday's Chinese papers.

Sorry about the uneven font size in the previous post. Had some problems with the fonts adjusting. Anyway, more pictures have been posted on Omy's photo galleries. Shall grab them when I'm free.

And the winner of Best Youth Blog category is...

    Witch Yuki!!!

It was really unexpected. When the emcee Danny Yeo made the 'drum roll' sounds, I was chanting 'Jie Yang, Jie Yang...' Then he went 'Witch Yuki!' For the first few seconds I was like 'Oh my God!' from within.

Thankfully there is no need for the award winners to give a 'thank-you speech'. 'Cause I'm not quite good with words when it comes to something as impromtu as this. I always need time to reorganise my thoughts and best in written form, like what I am doing RIGHT NOW.

I wish to thank all who had been voting faithfully for me during the voting phase. This group of people includes my friends, family members, my loyal blog readers and even those random strangers who chanced upon my blog through search engines. Each and every one of your vote counts, your support really made a difference!

Thank you, fellow finalists, for cheering each other on during the competition. Your words of encouragement have pushed us forward towards the finishing line of this race.

Thank you, my O' Level oral examiners, for wishing me good luck. Coincidentally, my topic for the conversation was about competition and VOILA! I told them about my participation in the Singapore Blog Awards. Both my examiners were really cute because they always seemed so amused throughout the whole oral examination. :D

Thank you to those who helped me to rally for votes as well, especially Christine and Eyu. You were of great help to me. X)

Last of all, thank you judges, for allowing my blog to receive recognition through Singapore Blog Awards. It wasn't easy to get to the finals, much less being crowned the winner of the Best Youth Blog category. I am very, very honoured to hold this title.

The Asian Civilisations Museum was not difficult to locate, hence it only took us a while to reach there from Raffles Place station.

    The entrance of River Room.

The bloggers took a quiz and one of the questions is about me! ^^

    It's question 2, what is Witch Yuki's (hiroyuki-world.blogspot.com) horoscope?

My entrance pass. Cool right! It's printed with not our names, but our blog URLs!

This is how River Room looks like.

Before the event started, everyone was mingling around.

A look at River Terrace, which is just outside River Room.

You may see reflection as these 2 pictures were taken through the glass panes of the door.

I thought that the ceremony will just be a simple one. But there was food as well! Buffet-styled.

Just when I was about to get the food with Samantha and our mums, I was called away for an interview. Thus when I began to eat later, they have almost finished their food.
(p.s. The dory fillet was nice!)

I saw a very tall guy and guessed that he was Jie Yang. Later I brought Samantha along to confirm. It was INDEED The Sidelined Student! He is really tall! He said that he could donate his height to us? Haha.

This is Jie Yang err.... trying to twist his wrist?

The guys exchanging friendly handshakes. Haha.

Also, there were glasses with many Chupa Chups lollipops in them. At first I thought they were for the guests to take and suck on it if they are bored. But being very observant, samantha then realised that all the bloggers' URLs were printed on the strips attached to each individual lollipop!

    I love this shot particularly.

We then started searching for lollipops with our own blog URLs. Samantha managed to find a few of hers, but I can't find even one!

Instead, I found Jie Yang's and Victor's (Crazy Hamster!). A pity that Victor wasn't able to attend the ceremony due to school events.

I love these lollipops 'cause they can help to advertise our blogs. Wahaha...

Not long after, the ceremony commenced.

Mr Cai Shen Jiang giving a speech.

Emcee Danny Yeo. He designed his own shirt!

    Renowned artist, Tan Swie Hian.

    Lighting up the I-don't-know-what-it's-called.

    Presenting to you...

The trophy designed by Mr Tan Swie Hian!

Combining the elements from modern days and ancient times, this trophy is indeed an unique creation by our national treasure.

The guest-of-honour explaining his masterpiece to the guests.

Photographers! You shoot me, I shoot you!

Gicing the trophies away to the important characters of this event. ^^

A token of appreciation to Tan Swie Hian.

Next up is the nerve-wrecking prize presentation!

And the very first award to be given away is the Best Youth Blog.

I feel very proud of myself as the blogs of the finalists were flashed on the screen. I guess all the other finalists must have felt the same too.

    Jack Neo!

He presented the award to me. The other pictures are with the photographers and Samantha. Shall post them up next time. :)

David Gan, presenting the Best Individual Blog award.

    Congratulations, Jane!

Guess who won the Most Entertaining Blog?

    It's Ah Shui!

Jamie Teo, giving away the prize for Best Photo Blog.

Just as expected, it was Eunice! She is really pretty!

    Andy Lee.

Shaun Chng won the Best Design Blog!

Alright, I left the task of photo-taking to the photographers later. So there are not many photos now.

Anyway, this is the hints to the quiz. So good right, the hints are pretty detailed.

The hint to the question on Witch Yuki is 'Read the profile on her blog or ask her directly.'
Eunice is the only one who approached me for the answer. Haha.

The reception area after the ceremony. Quiet messy eh... I see unfinished food. LOL.

    Things from the goodie bag.

I have to say that the pink notebook from Omy is very nice! I like the colour as it is quite attention-attracting. ^^

The Acer laptop that I received.

I love the tag so much that I'm still showing it off.

    My certificate and trophy!

The trophy is petite yet heavy. Mr Cai Shen Jiang said that it will become an antique in time to come. Woahhhh~~

Still very excited back at home. :)

Oh, Samantha found the lollipops with my URLs! There seemed to be very few though. Thank you, pretty babe!

The bundle of more than a dozen lollipops could make a bouquet as well! Haha. And I found Jayden's lollipop too! I told Samantha that 'I am putting Jayden into my bag.'
A pity that Ah-mee boy was unable to turn up. =(

The awards ceremony officially marked the end of Singapore Blog Awards 2008. It has been like a marathon race, for the past few months of competition. It doesn't matter who wins at the end. The most important thing is the spirit that all 70 of us displayed through this competition.

'Winning doesn't always mean being first; it means that you are doing better than you have done before.' - Bonnie Blair

Being in the finals show that we are doing better than the rest. Therefore, all of us are winners! CHEERS!

Okay I still have loads of pictures from other sources to post. It's really very time-consuming and I have to sleep now. Bye, folks!
